Winter Break

My winter break didn't mainly start until the second week of the break because I mainly spent my time at home. While I was at home I mainly decided to play an old game that I enjoyed called Destiny 2. This game has always been my favorite and well I decided to play it for my whole break. I spent Christmas with my family just mainly talking, playing board games, and most importantly eating the delicious food. After Christmas we decided to go the theaters and watch the new movie Bumblebee because my little brother just wanted to see it so bad. After Christmas my family and I went to Las Vegas to enjoy our vacations. We decide to play games and ended up winning lots of stuffed animals that filled up the whole trunk of the car. We later then went to see my family that lives in Las Vegas, and I was so glad to see my uncle that I haven't seen for three years. He ended up showing me his card collection of signed cards that worth a lot but keeping them around to sell later. After seeing my family we went bowling, and bowling has really became a custom between my dad and I to go bowling at least twice every month. New years was spent once I headed back home and celebrated it with my friends and family. After all the fun activities have happen, I just ended up spending my time at home watching my favorite shows.

The Internet is Broken

Tim Berners-Lee explains how if you were to ask him how the internet is, he would answer that it is doing fine but now he says that there is something wrong. He explains how people seem to get frustrated with ads and with fake advertisements. Big industries seem to be taking over the internet but he said as long as they can work together to make an advancement towards revolutionizing  the internet. Tim Berners-Lee wants to protect the internet and not watch it unveil to it being run by industries. This applies to me because every time I'm on the internet I get frustrated with ads when I see them and how they just seem to pop up at the most random time, interrupting  the current show that I would be watching. I do see big industries like amazon always showing their ads on different websites telling me the price of that item that I recently viewed on their website.

What is Computer Science 

Computer science requires lots of critical thinking skills. Computer science is required to prepare students for the future regardless of their study or occupation. Some computer science courses are: Algorithmic problem-solving, Computing and data analysis, Human-computer interaction, Modeling and simulating real-world problems, creating and manipulating graphics, programming, security, web design, robotics, ethical and social issues in computing. This prepares people for multiple careers in the future which will be always on high demand. AP computer science courses can open up the pathway to 130 career areas and 48 major colleges. Lots of analyzing, designing, developing, exploring, and programming will be used in computer science for the best of the present and the future. Understanding the core principles of computer science is a key to now and the future of success.

Jaxity was babysitting her siblings, went to the beach, and was practicing for cheer.

Carlos went to Lugo park to play soccer and was playing Fortnite.

Jocelyn was taking care of her cat and her neighbor's cat and went to summer school for Geometry.

Summer Activities

My summer started off to a good start by going to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, I had such a great time with my family and girlfriend. I'm glad it wasn't as pack as I thought but still it was one of my best days ever. During this time a very important event has started for the whole entire world and it was the world cup. I have been waiting since 2014 to see the world cup on television again, I would wake up early every morning just to watch a game even though I am not part of those countries I still decided to watch because this meant something to me and the whole world watching. Since the start I told anyone that's interested in soccer that France were going to be champions because they had an amazing squad, flash forward to the final and France were champions.The 4th of July wasn't so great in the morning and evening because we decided to go Hurricane Harbor but turns out it was packed with the most people I have ever scene, but then in the night we celebrated our independence by blasting Fireworks into the sky. For 5 weeks I had to attend summer school which wasn't even quite bad because I get to be out of the house and doing something instead of laying on my bed. I enjoyed summer school but one thing I couldn't enjoy was the heat. It was so hot I couldn't stand it. After I was done with summer school I had a whole three or four weeks off and during this time I decided to go to work. All of the rest of my summer vacation was just working which I really did enjoy. It was a fun place to be being able to meet new people and old friends at work. There was days when I would be really exhausted from work and days when I would want more work but it was a nice experience with it all. In the end of my final days I decided to rest and just stay at home and watch shows and movies which was mainly the boring days of summer.
